Leeds Castle not only has it's own golf course but is an attraction not to be missed during your stay in Kent.
Once described by Lord Conway as the loveliest castle in the world, Leeds Castle dates from A.D. 857. Originally constructed of wood, it was rebuilt in 1119 in its present stone structure on two small islands in the middle of the lake; it was an almost impregnable fortress before the importation of gunpowder. Henry VIII converted it to a royal palace.
